Frequently asked questions

What Social Work services do you provide?

Lilac Coordination provides qualified Social Work services focused on crisis intervention, advocacy, capacity building and navigating complex circumstances within the NDIS framework.

Social Work may be an option for participants who don't have Support Coordination funded in their NDIS plan, depending on their circumstances and available funding.

Do I need Support Coordination funding in my NDIS plan?

If you're seeking NDIS Support Coordination, you generally need Support Coordination funding in your plan.

If Support Coordination isn't funded, Social Work may provide another pathway for professional support, depending on your plan, circumstances and whether the service is appropriately funded and claimable.

If you're unsure, I can discuss your circumstances with you.

Do you work with self-managed and plan-managed participants?

Yes. Lilac Coordination currently provides services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

As an independent/unregistered provider, there are limitations on providing Support Coordination to NDIA-managed participants.

Who can make an enquiry or referral?

You don't have to be a participant to contact Lilac Coordination.

Enquiries and referrals can come from:

  • Participants

  • Parents and family members

  • Carers

  • Support providers

  • Health professionals

  • Hospitals and hospital teams

  • Allied health professionals

  • Other professionals involved in a participant's support

Appropriate participant consent will be required before information is shared or services commence.

How long does it take to get started?

This depends on your circumstances, availability and whether the appropriate funding and supports are in place.

Once an enquiry or referral is received, I'll contact you to discuss the next steps.

Does making an enquiry mean I have to use Lilac Coordination?

No.

An enquiry is simply an opportunity to ask questions and see whether Lilac Coordination is the right fit. There is no obligation to proceed.
